Welcome to the official website of the 2012 WORLD DISCIPLESHIP SUMMIT.

WDS_MainLogo Mountains. Breath-taking, awe-inspiring, daunting…life changing. God uses mountain-top experiences to help men understand him more deeply, draw closer to Him, and be changed for a lifetime. It is on the Mountain of the Lord that we can be renewed in our faith, vision and purpose, and come away as changed people. Please join us in San Antonio, Texas, July 5-8, 2012 as disciples from around the world gather for the World Discipleship Summit.

The 2012 World Discipleship Summit will be held from Thursday, July 5th to Saturday, July 8th at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. This will be the first time in many years disciples from all over the world will gather together to enjoy a spiritual feast of this magnitude.  Perhaps you remember the Boston World Mission Seminar in 1989 that was over 20 years ago! This will be the spiritual event of our generation as a cooperation of churches.

san-antonioEach year we, as a group of churches, hold various conferences throughout the world to meet needs, bond relationships and build unity for our congregations, regions and ministries. The main goal of the 2012 conference is to bring all of these gatherings together in one city at one time.  The International Leadership Conference (ILC), the International Campus Ministry Conference (ICMC), the Youth and Family Conference and the Worship Conference (IWMC) are usually held annually; the Singles Conference is held every two years; and the various regional conferences are held yearly or every other year.  In 2012, all of these conferences will be held in San Antonio, Texas.  In addition to these conferences, there will be Spanish and Deaf Ministry conferences and we are excited to announce a conference designed specifically for Teens that will replace the Youth and Family Conference.

Parents will be given the opportunity to utilize the “block party” that will be available for children from one to thirteen years old.  There will be carnival-type games, inflatable obstacle courses and houses, movies, game and other activities to keep children entertained and busy during the day.   A parent or adult must accompany their child/children in our play area.

The classes and worship times are scheduled to allow you to have good spiritual food, lots of fellowship and family time and to enjoy the city.  Classes will be held during the morning and early afternoon with a break mid-afternoon.  Each conference will begin with an opening session on Thursday.  Later that afternoon/evening, we will be transported via buses (see Bus Passes) to the AT&T Center (the home of the San Antonio Spurs) for our opening worship service together.

On Friday and Saturday, sessions will be offered in the Gonzalez Convention Center and at various hotels in the morning and early afternoon.  Every evening, all attendees will come together in the AT&T Center for an inspirational time of worship, preaching, good news sharing and fellowship.  It will be like no other conference we have ever known or experienced, where thousands of disciples will be together to worship God in spirit and truth. It will be a “mountain top” experience for us all.
