We are so excited about the opportunity to come together with disciples from all around the globe for the 2012 World Discipleship Summit! What an incredible time it will be to connect with each other, to learn and grow in our faith and, especially, to be able to join in worship together! With our theme, we are reminded of the “Psalms of Ascent” (Ps. 120-134), which are preserved as songs that God’s people would sing together as they journeyed from their home towns to make the long climb up to Mount Zion. They too, like you, were stepping away from every-day life, from the influence of the world around them, to climb the mountain... joining in reunion with each other to worship God.

All of us who are involved in worship ministry are also a part of other ministries -- we are all either single, married, college student, or a teen. Many of us are also involved in church leadership. So we didn't want to hold a full blown worship conference that would take us completely out of the other conferences that will be taking place at the WDS. Many of us also want to serve these other conferences by helping lead our brothers and sisters in powerful worship.

However, we did want to make sure we took advantage of the opportunity to come together as those involved in worship ministry. So we are setting aside some time early Friday morning followed by Worship Conference Sessions. Together we will praise God, and learn how to take it higher in our worship ministries. So, we encourage anyone registering for the worship conference to please also be a part of the conference track for your ministry group (singles, marrieds, college, teen, or Spanish) and we will enjoy our time together Friday.
